Machine Operator

About the role

SRCM (Steel Reinforcing Company Malaga) are seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our team as an Operator where you will be using manual machines to shape & cut reinforcing bar.

 

You'll become part of a small yet high-performing team where your responsibilities will include achieving KPIs and fostering a safety-first culture. Being a part of SRCM provides a valuable chance to acquire hands-on experience in steel processing, pre-fabrication, and distribution. It also opens doors for career progression and development opportunities.

 

The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM with some flexibility on starting time.

 

As a key member of the team you will:

  • Operate machinery to shape and cut reinforcing products
  • Operate a forklift
  • Accurately pick and pack orders
  • Load and unload trucks for customers or our drivers when required
  • Promote and contribute to a safe workplace

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A willingness to learn new skills and have a can-do attitude
  • A safety focused mindset
  • Background in steel reinforcing, manufacturing and construction industries
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • Forklift license and experience is ideal but not essential
  • Overhead crane experience will be highly regarded
