About the role

You will collaborate within a close-knit team in a customer facing role. The team is highly safety focused, and process driven and will ensure that you are supported.  You will be completing scrap metal & e-waste collections across Mackay, as well as working alongside the staff in the yard. 

 

This role entails day shift work across a 38 hour week, with overtime available. 

 

The hourly rate is $35.86 + Super + $461.54 fortnightly remote living allowance.

 

All overtime is paid at overtime rates.

 

What you will be doing: 

 

  • Operate heavy vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with the Transport Supervisor to complete deliveries across the region
  • Loading the truck using overhead cranes
  • Adhere to Australian rules and regulations regarding the operation of heavy vehicles
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Adhere to all WHS and Heavy Vehicle Transport regulations, policies and procedures

What you will bring:

  • HR or HC truck licence is essential 
  • Forklift licence highly regarded
  • Experience in a reverse dolly trailer and road ranger preferred
  • Champion a safe and efficient workplace
  • High energy, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn 
  • Metal, Manufacturing, Logistics or Construction industry experience ideally
