Customer Service Officer
About The Role
ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company), is currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our high-performing team.
You’ll work closely with our sales, operations, and leadership teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You'll play a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between our internal teams and valued customers—helping to manage day-to-day customer interactions, sales, and despatch processes.

Reporting to the Branch Manager and based at our Mackay Branch, you will be joining a company that focuses on career development and actively works on promoting internal candidates and supporting employees on their career journey.
What you will be doing:
- Deliver excellent customer service across phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
- Process quotes, sales orders, and customer enquiries efficiently
- Coordinate dispatch, logistics, and deliveries
- Maintain stock levels, receive stock, and merchandise products
- Support sales growth through proactive service and follow-up
- Complete invoicing, reconciliations, and general administration
- Ensure clear communication between customers, sales, and operations teams

You’re an enthusiastic and tenacious team player who loves helping customers, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly. You work well under pressure and take pride in your attention to detail.
What you will bring:
- Experience in customer service, retail sales, or sales administration
- Background in building, construction, manufacturing, or related industries preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
- Proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or CRM experience advantageous
- Exposure to dispatch and logistics processes highly regarded
