Branch Manager

About The Role

As Branch Manager of ARC Mackay, you will lead the commercial performance and growth of the branch, driving sales, strengthening customer relationships and expanding ARC’s presence across residential, commercial and industrial markets. This is a leadership role where your ability to develop business opportunities, build strong customer partnerships and lead a high-performing team will be key to success.

You will work closely with regional leadership and internal support teams to deliver strong commercial outcomes while also maintaining accountability for the safe and efficient operation of the branch. This includes oversight of operational performance, safety standards and service delivery to ensure the branch consistently meets customer expectations and business targets, while positioning the site for sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a small, high-performing team with a strong customer and safety culture
  • Driving sales growth and expanding the branch’s customer base across key market segments
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Identifying new market opportunities and implementing local growth strategies aligned to regional plans
  • Maintaining commercial performance of the branch, including oversight of financial outcomes
  • Supporting operational teams to ensure production and distribution plans meet customer demand
  • Championing safety and ensuring compliance with OHS, environmental and regulatory standards
  • Embedding systems, processes and training that support consistent, high-quality service delivery

About your experience

You are a commercially driven leader with a strong background in sales and business development, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing or logistics-related environment. You understand how to grow customer relationships, identify new opportunities and drive revenue, while working closely with operational teams to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

You bring a proactive approach to developing markets and building customer partnerships, combined with the ability to quickly learn and understand the operational aspects of running a successful and compliant branch.

You will also bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales, account management or business development, ideally within industrial, manufacturing or logistics sectors
  • A strong customer focus, with the ability to identify opportunities, grow market share and build long-term client relationships
  • Some exposure to operational environments, or the ability to quickly develop capability in operational leadership and branch management
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to translate sales strategy into profitable growth
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments with competing priorities

While candidates with direct industrial branch management experience will be highly regarded, this role is particularly well suited to someone with a strong commercial and sales background who is eager to broaden their operational leadership capability.
