About the role
The IT Field Services Engineer provides timely, high-quality onsite support across a wide range of technologies. This includes end-user devices, desktop and server environments, networks, and first-level support for CCTV and Network Video Recorder (NVR) systems. By resolving issues quickly and effectively, the role minimises downtime, safeguards business continuity, and sustains productivity across InfraBuild sites.
The IT Field Service Engineer acts as the bridge between end users and IT teams, combining technical expertise with clear communication and customer service skills, ensuring users not only receive solutions but also understand and trust the support provided. This contribution builds confidence in IT services and strengthens relationships with business stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 onsite IT support to users across InfraBuild sites, ensuring services are delivered in line with agreed SLAs.
- Act as the primary onsite contact, delivering support in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring users clearly understand the assistance provided.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders, acting as a trusted liaison between end users, IT teams, and vendors
- Respond to incidents and requests escalated from the IT Service Desk, providing hands-on troubleshooting and resolution.
- Deliver support for a broad range of technologies, including:
- Desktop software and business applications
- End-user devices (PCs, laptops, smartphones, tablets, printers, peripherals)
- Microsoft O365, Active Directory, and mobility platforms
- Network and server infrastructure (voice and data)
- Communications platforms (telephony, conferencing)
- CCTV cameras and NVR systems (first-level diagnostics, resets, and vendor escalation as required)
- Log and manage all incidents via the ITSM tool, escalating appropriately when resolution is not possible at Level 1 or 2.
- Ensure all activities comply with InfraBuild’s governance framework, ITIL practices, and IT security requirements.
Our ideal candidate will be experienced in addressing complex issues, have strong analytical and problem solving skills and be an outstanding communicator. You will work effectively to consistently deliver quality customer service through exceptional relationship management with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4+ years in IT Service Support, with direct field services experience preferred.
- ITIL Foundation certification (or practical ITIL environment experience).
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting across:
- Microsoft Windows SOE and O365
- Active Directory and mobility platforms
- Networking (voice and data)
- End-user devices (PCs, laptops, smartphones, tablets, printers, peripherals)
- CCTV cameras and NVR systems (first-level diagnostics, resets, and vendor engagement)
- Experience using ITSM/ticketing systems.
- Current driver’s licence.
