About the role

As the Ferrous Manager at InfraBuild Laverton, you will be a pivotal team member, overseeing ferrous operations to ensure efficiency, quality control, and strict adherence to safety standards. This role offers a dynamic and challenging opportunity to lead and manage the ferrous operations team, implement operational improvements, and contribute to the overall success of our steel manufacturing and infrastructure solutions.

 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and guide the ferrous operations team to achieve production targets.
  • Implement and enhance operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Implement and uphold rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the production of high-quality ferrous products.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to continuously enhance product quality.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure a consistent and reliable supply of raw materials.
  • Optimise supply chain processes to minimise costs and maximise efficiency.
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Generate regular reports on production metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct data analysis to drive informed decision-making in ferrous operations.

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the ferrous industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ferrous materials, production processes, and quality control.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe working environment.
