Excavator/Loader/Material Handler Operators

Based at our InfraBuild Recycling Laverton site, the Excavator/Loader/Material Handler operators will perform a range of duties within the metal recycling yard.  This is a permanent day shift role offering regular overtime, plus site allowance, paid leave and a wellbeing allowance every year!  There will be on-the-job training provided and excellent opportunities for career progression/multi skilling.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Operating a Material Handler, Excavator and or Loader
  • Operating a forklift if/when ticketed
  • Loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers
  • Loading scrap metal onto conveyor for processing through the shredder
  • Performing manual handling tasks
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the yard and operational areas
  • Conducting daily checks on mobile plant
  • Adhering to safety procedures at all times

 

Pay rate - $44.97 per hour, plus super, plus 1% site allowance, plus $300 wellbeing allowance per year, plus regular overtime!

What you will bring:

  • Experience operating a Material Handler, Excavator or Loader
  • Forklift ticket, desirable
  • Mobile shearing on an excavator advantageous
  • Experience in scrap recycling, civil construction, waste or manufacturing is highly advantageous
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment
  • Reliable and punctual with a safety focused and team oriented mindset
