About the role
As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of plant and equipment. Reporting to the Processing Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal plant performance by conducting inspections, operating heavy machinery, and contributing to daily production targets. Your hands-on approach, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will support the reliability and productivity of site operations.
Working collaboratively with processing personnel and supporting departments, you will ensure that plant assets are operating at full capacity, in alignment with safety and environmental standards. Your ability to respond to operational needs, carry out inspections, and complete timely reporting will be essential to sustaining production efficiency and plant availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a range of plant and equipment including front-end loaders, water trucks, HR dump trucks, forklifts, light vehicles, and bobcats.
- Perform regular plant inspections and equipment checks to identify issues and maintain operational readiness.
- Monitor plant performance using trends and measurements to support production targets and process optimisation.
- Complete daily plant reporting and accurately document operational data.
- Collaborate effectively with processing teams and supporting departments to ensure safe and consistent operations.
- Maintain full compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Support shutdowns and maintenance activities as required.
- Desirable Skills, Licences & Tickets:
- Experience in a minerals processing or heavy industrial environment
- Exposure to Control Room operations within a processing plant
- Front-End Loader
- Water Trucks
- HR Dump Trucks
- Light Vehicles
- Forklift, EWP, and Bobcat operations
Current valid licences:
- Light Vehicle (LV)
