About The Role

Due to growth, Steelforce are seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our team as a Team Leader Machine Operator role in Horningsea Park.

 

In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to join a small, community minded and high performing team. You will lead the Operators to achieve KPIs and drive a safety-first culture while advancing your experience in steel processing, pre-fabrication and distribution.

 

The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

 

 

Your key duties will include:

•      Use specialised production machinery & overhead cranes to shape & transform steel products into custom designed shapes.

•      Assisting with general warehousing duties when machinery is not running to maximise operational efficiency.

•      Leading a small team of operators and driving daily performance.

•      Effectively work within a team environment to achieve production KPI’s.

•      Take ownership of your machines performance including output, downtime, quality & housekeeping.

•      Championing safety procedures to the highest standard.

 

About Your Experience:

To be successful in this role you will value collaborative working environments and promote a safety-first culture. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume role that requires attention to detail and time management skills to meet KPIs. Additionally:

 

•      You will ideally come from the steel/heavy or any manufacturing industry with previous machine experience

•      Overhead crane experience will be highly regarded

•      Ability to learn quickly & be trained in new processes/systems

•      Strong commitment to the safety of yourself and the team
