Trading Account Executive - Northern NSW

As a Trading Account Executive, you will be responsible for both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal procurement, as well as coordinating delivery of scrap metal to nominated InfraBuild Recycling facilities. Working closely with the State Trading Managers and Account Executive team, you will contribute to operational safety as well as driving excellence in customer service. This role is based out of our East Maitland site.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Develop and manage supplier relationships to procure ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal
  • Negotiate pricing terms to ensure competitive procurement, considering bespoke customer requirements
  • Working closely with operations and transport teams to coordinate logistics, transport, delivery and processing
  • Building rapport with customers and maintaining positive relationships
  • Compliance to ACCC and Trade Practices in all customer and contractor interactions
  • Support the ‘Goal Zero’ strategy through operating in a manner which does not expose themselves or others to hazards that could result in injury or illness
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives

What you will bring:

 

  • Strong experience in sales, account management or procurement
  • Experience in scrap metal recycling and other waste and recycling industries, desirable
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence outcomes with various stakeholder groups to achieve strategic objectives
  • A high level of resilience and a clear solutions-focused mindset to support business objectives and strategies
  • Demonstrated time management and project planning ability
  • Be able to identify opportunities for growth or improvement across a complex business
