Reporting to the Asset Strategy and Improvement Manager the Project Manager will lead the successful delivery of capital projects, engineering initiatives and asset improvement programs across our national recycling operations. Partnering with key internal and external stakeholders, you will oversee projects from concept through to completion, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost effective delivery while providing engineering expertise, technical leadership and structured problem solving capabilities contributing to broader operational excellence and asset improvement programs.

What you will be doing:
- Lead the planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover of capital projects, including supporting business case development and proposal preparation
- Deliver projects that achieve or exceed agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety objectives
- Provide strong leadership to project teams, fostering alignment, accountability and project success
- Drive financial performance through robust forecasting, cost control and value optimisation initiatives
- Manage project risks, change and performance to ensure proactive decision-making and successful outcomes
- Champion safety, compliance, innovation and continuous improvement across all project activities
This role can be based out of our Laverton site in Victoria, our Hexham site in New South Wales or our Hemmant or Wacol site in Queensland.

What you will bring:
- Degree qualification in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Project Management qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering multi-disciplinary capital projects within heavy industrial, mining, manufacturing or processing environments
- Qualification in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of operational interfaces within industrial plant environments
- Commercial acumen, with proven planning and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative, hands on approach with a focus on delivering outcomes

With a national network of sites, we play a critical role in Australia’s circular steel system, turning scrap into new steel and supporting more efficient, lower embodied carbon construction.
