Reporting to the National Logistics and International Freight Manager, this role is an integral part of the QLD operations team.

 

The key functional responsibilities of this role are focused towards the maximisation of returns to the business by leading the implementation of Transport and Logisitics strategies / plans and project initiatives for the QLD Recycling Business, while ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall business plan.

 

You will develop, coach, and champion a continuous improvement culture ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of the transport and logistics function across all QLD Recycling sites.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Execution of the transport planning and scheduling process
  • Management of the Transport Team
  • Capacity and Sales and Operational planning
  • Carrier and fleet performance management
  • Transport systems implementation, monitoring and governance to ensure both safety and customer compliance.
  • Proactively identify and implement transport initiatives / solutions to ensure timely, reliable, cost effective and safe transport of all products to and from InfraBuild Recycling customers / suppliers

What you will bring:

 

  • 5+ years of logistics management experience ideally in a transport planning environment
  • Experience in building and leading teams in a complex, fast paced environment
  • Experience in both fleet and carrier management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of allocating various vehicle types, capacity, specifications, load configuration and load restraint
  • Advanced stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, Weighbridge and Waste Edge system advantageous
  • Proven capability in problem solving and process improvement with a passion for outcomes
