ARC Sales Manager - Lokpod

About the role

ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company) is looking for a self-driven, technically astute and resilient Sales Manager to lead the national growth of LOKPOD® – ARC’s game-changing product in the residential construction space.

This is a 12-month maternity leave contract offering valuable exposure to the reinforcing industry, with potential career pathways across our wider business units.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales leadership, technical product development, and market expansion. You’ll work closely with the ARC General Manager and Regional Managers to drive strategy, build strong industry relationships, and guide the market adoption of LOKPOD®.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with client engineers and technical stakeholders to support the specification and adoption of LOKPOD® on engineering plans.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Key Account Managers, ensuring confidence in solution delivery and value articulation.
  • Lead and influence the integration of LOKPOD® into ARC’s national sales pipeline and broader market strategy.
  • Drive sales growth across existing and new customer segments, working alongside regional sales teams.
  • Manage and update the LOKPOD® growth pipeline, presenting performance insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing to amplify LOKPOD®’s presence in the market — focusing on innovation, sustainability, and customer success.
  • Partner with manufacturing and supply teams to meet customer requirements, maintain quality standards, and ensure consistent product availability.
  • Act as the national product lead, overseeing product development initiatives and aligning internal teams around continuous improvement.

This is more than a sales role — it’s a tactical sales position that blends technical influence, market development, and product innovation to drive a national agenda.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a powerful combination of strategic thinking, technical insight, and relationship-building expertise.

Your background includes:

  • At least five years’ experience in sales management or business development, ideally in the steel, concrete or residential construction industry.
  • A proven track record in B2B industrial environments, with strong sales performance and market development results.
  • Experience influencing engineering firms, councils, or regulatory bodies to adopt innovative construction solutions.
  • Confidence managing national accounts, leading product initiatives, and working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and manufacturing partners.
  • Strategic planning expertise with a knack for identifying trends, solving problems, and aligning business goals with market opportunities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams, drive adoption, and position products as market leaders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline are desirable but not essential for the role.
