Day Shift Team Leader
About The Role
ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company) is looking for a hands-on and self-driven individual to join our Gold Coast branch as a Warehouse Team Leader, guiding our daily warehouse and production operations. You’ll lead a team, manage workflow, and help ensure we deliver safely, on time, and to the highest standard.
The hours for this role are 5 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Key Duties:
- Lead and support warehouse staff during daily operations
- Coordinate production schedules, shift handovers and set clear expectations
- Assist with operating cutting and bending machinery for steel bar products
- Ensure safety procedures and quality standards are followed
- Oversee loading, transport, and stock movement
- Report and resolve issues quickly (downtime, quality, or stock)
- Support the training and development of operators in SOPs and safety practices
- Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Maintenance, HR) to support service delivery
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for safety, efficiency, and quality
- Lead and coordinate daily shift operations to meet production and delivery targets
You’re a practical leader with solid experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings. You know how to keep things moving, keep people safe, and deliver results.
You will have:
- 3+ years in a similar warehouse or operations role
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment
- Reinforcing steel industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards and compliance
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable using basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, WMS)
- Confident in managing shift schedules, handovers, and KPI tracking
- A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
