About The Role
Are you an experienced leader ready to take on a high-impact, multi-site role in a thriving business with a proud history and exciting future? We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Area Manager to join our senior leadership team and lead our operations across the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers.
This role has become available due to the upcoming retirement of our long-serving Area Manager after an incredible 40 years of dedication. The successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive six-month transition period, ensuring a deep transfer of knowledge and relationships.
As Area Manager – South, you’ll hold end-to-end accountability for two key sites (Helensvale and Ballina), with further growth on the horizon. Reporting to the Regional Manager Qld, and sitting on the State Lead Team, this role has full P&L responsibility and oversight of sales, operations, safety, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
• Full P&L and EBIT ownership across a multi-site operation
• Strategic sales leadership and development of market relationships
• Championing safety and ensuring outstanding safety outcomes
• Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team
• Driving operational excellence and customer fulfilment
• Overseeing facility and asset management
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders in HR, Safety, and Engineering
• Delivering on business growth, performance targets, and capital investment plans
You’re a strategic, people-first leader with a passion for delivering results. You’re commercially astute, hands-on when needed, and thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
You’ll bring:
• Proven experience in a senior operations or leadership role (tertiary qualifications desirable but not essential)
• Strong sales capability and a track record of building effective market relationships
• Demonstrated success in leading P\&L and delivering strong financial performance
• A commitment to exceptional safety leadership
• Experience leading teams across multiple sites
• Exposure to the building and construction industry (advantageous but not required)
• A history of creating high-performance cultures and driving continuous improvement
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and change leadership skills
