Key Account Manager

About The Role:

Reporting to the Area Manager Sydney - Commercial and based at our Glendenning site, you will play a key role in driving sales growth across the commercial construction sector, developing customer relationships and converting project opportunities into long-term business success.


Working closely with builders, contractors, developers and project stakeholders, you will manage opportunities from early project identification through to tender and project award. This is a relationship-driven role where success comes from building strong customer partnerships, maintaining a healthy pipeline and positioning the business to win future work.


You will spend the majority of your time engaging with customers, identifying new opportunities and driving growth across targeted commercial market segments.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial builders, contractors and key decision-makers
  • Identify and track project opportunities from early planning stages through to tender and project award
  • Manage a long-term sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are progressed and converted into revenue
  • Drive new business development while growing existing customer relationships
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts and market intelligence
  • Support the delivery of sales targets, market share growth and business objectives
  • Contribute to a high-performing and collaborative sales culture

What you will bring:

  • Experience working within commercial construction, building materials, industrial products or a related industry
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand customer requirements and deliver practical solutions
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and maintain momentum across multiple projects and stakeholders
  • A proactive and self-driven approach, with the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
