Customer Service Officer
About the role
ARC a reputable steel fabrication company, is currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our tight-knit team at the Glendenning branch where you will be working closely with sales and operations to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
This position would be a suitable opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing customer/sales experience.
There are two shifts at this site- 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM and 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday to Friday.
- Answering and responding to incoming calls and enquiries about product and requirements
- Liaising with freight company when required about bookings and stock
- Process sales orders and coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely product delivery or pick ups
- Over-the-counter sales – early morning customer pick-ups run hot!
- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions using system
- Coordinating with other branches for any stock enquiries
About your experience
You should excel in a busy environment, demonstrating the ability to problem solve and provide excellent customer service.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and excellent organisation abilities
- Experience working alongside customers face-to-face and over the phone
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous industry experience is not essential – hiring manager is focused on the right skills you bring to our team
