Reporting to the NSW Regional Manager and based at our Glendenning site, this role is responsible for leading multi-site operations, ensuring safe and efficient operations whilst managing a large and growing portfolio of customers in the commercial segment (Tier 3 and Tier 2).
You will be a proven sales and operations leader who can optimize operational processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness and successfully drive sales performance. You will have the opportunity to make your mark executing and delivering on exciting business growth plans and capital investment.
What you will be doing:
- Provide senior leadership of Operational, Distribution and Sales staff, promoting a high-performing culture
- Lead and execute strategies to achieve operational excellence
- Champion a strong safety culture
- Oversee the sales channel to achieve customer growth
- Coaching and developing team members
- Collaborate with other Area, Operations and Functional Leaders to identify areas for improvement
- P&L, EBIT & financial reporting responsibility
You will be a strategic leader with an innovative mindset, proficient in problem-solving and effective communication skills. As an Area Manager, you must prioritise fostering a strong safety culture, emphasizing customer focus, and demonstrating a solutions-oriented approach.

What you will bring:
- Proven experience in senior leadership, tertiary qualifications preferred, not essential
- Industry experience within reinforcing, building products, construction or industrial manufacturing
- Implementation of a high-performance culture across multiple branches
- Change management experience
- Genuine and passionate care for safety and experience driving it
- Exceptional people leader and communicator
- Strong business acumen
