Excavator Operator

About the role

 

You will be part of a team at Gladstone that is highly safety focused with a strong track record for delivering great outcomes. You will be surrounded and mentored by seasoned operators ensuring your success within the business.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Maintenance and operation of machinery such as excavators, skid steers etc
  • Operating forklift and manual handling
  • Ensuring cleanliness of the yard and operational areas
  • Championing safety procedures to the highest standard

 

Role hours: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3 pm with overtime available if required

About your experience

 

You are someone who values teamwork, safety, continuous improvement and has a strong desire to operate at a fast pace to ensure the team succeeds.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in driving an excavator and skid steers is essential
  • Forklift license is desired
  • Manual truck driving experience is essential
  • Scrap recycling, construction, manufacturing, or warehousing industry experience is desirable but not essential
  • A continuous learning and can-do mindset
