Shift Electrician

About the role

Our site Maintenance team based in Geelong is on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Tradesperson. We are open to commercial electricians looking to move into an industrial tradesman position.


Key responsibilities of the role include:

 

  • Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance work orders in a safe, timely and professional manner
  • Undertake fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical, electronics, instrumentation and communication equipment
  • Maintain all work areas in a safe and tidy state.
  • Fully support front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives


There is 1 position available for this role - afternoon shift from 4 pm to midnight or night shift from midnight to 8 am.

 

Base hourly rate - $40.07 - $44.37, plus Tool allowance $20.17, A-grade electrical Licence $47.92, Trades Allowance $250, 15% Shift loading

 

We are looking to speak to candidates with:

 

  • Electrical Trade qualification and currently hold electrical A grade license
  • Understanding of PLC programming and fault finding
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical breakdowns and determining root causes in a heavy industry manufacturing environment  
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and manage competing deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and computer aptitude
  • Post trade accreditation (Cert IV) is highly regarded
  • EWP – advantageous
