Senior Improvement Engineer
About the role

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager and based at our Geelong Wire Mill, you will oversee and co-ordinate all technical, quality assurance and environmental matters associated with the manufacture of galvanized wire and wire products onsite.
What you will be doing:
- Lead Safety & Risk Management: Drive a proactive safety culture toward Goal Zero, ensuring safe systems of work, risk control and team accountability.
- Manage Environmental Compliance: Oversee ISO14001 systems, regulatory reporting and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
- Ensure Quality Excellence: Maintain ISO9001 standards, lead audits and drive product quality and customer satisfaction outcomes.
- Deliver Operational Performance: Manage budgets, costs, and technical initiatives to improve efficiency, performance and innovation.
- Lead & Develop People: Manage a small team and build capability through recruitment, performance management and ongoing development.

What you will bring:
- Process engineering & continuous improvement expertise: Extensive experience in process engineering, Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), with strong process control knowledge.
- Quality systems experience: Proven knowledge of ISO9001 and auditing in a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Problem-solving capability: Skilled in structured analysis and data-driven decision making to drive performance improvements.
- Leadership & influencing skills: Able to engage stakeholders, lead teams and drive accountability.
- Change management capability: Demonstrated experience implementing and embedding operational and cultural change.
