Scheduler
About the role
Reporting to the QLD Scheduling Manager, this role is responsible for interacting directly with customers and internal stakeholders, to determine customer needs and ensure the accurate supply of reinforcing steel to each major project.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring that the daily plan is adhered to and delivered on time and in full first time, every time
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings to create steel cutting lists for production
• Understanding customer needs, and solving customer’s challenges and issues onsite
• Working with customers, Project Managers, clients and builders
• Understanding of manufacturing systems and processes
• Identifying areas of development and improvement to processe
About your experience
This role would suit a senior Scheduler who has demonstrated experience in high rise construction. The ideal candidate will be a goal oriented team player, with a customer centric focus. You will be an enthusiastic and tenacious individual with the following characteristics.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in a Scheduling role specialising in civil and high rise construction
- Experience in steel reinforcement detailing
- Technical mindset with an ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Ability to manage and maintain a project construction program for delivery of rebar and accessories
- Confident communication skills in liaising with our customers representatives regarding site instructions and possible request for information queries
- The ability to prioritize customer orders
- Productive and efficient team player
- Degree in civil or structural engineering, or qualifications in design would be preferable but not limited to
- Experience in modelling software such as AutoCAD, Bentley or Revit desirable
