Supply and Inventory Planner

Ensure assigned distribution and fabrication centres have the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time by planning and managing replenishment from manufacturing plants and suppliers.

This role focuses on maintaining agreed inventory and safety stock levels, preventing stock shortages, and supporting efficient operations across the distribution network.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Develop replenishment plans for assigned distribution centres and fabrication sites based on demand forecasts and inventory targets.
  • Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders from manufacturing plants and external suppliers.
  • Consider key planning constraints such as freight, receipting, storage capacity, and warehouse requirements.
  • Help reduce stock-outs and avoid excess inventory across the distribution network.
  • Maintain agreed safety stock levels to support production plans at fabrication sites.
  • Prioritise available inventory across the network when there are supply constraints.
  • Minimise unnecessary internal stock transfers between distribution centres.
  • Identify excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages before they impact operations.
  • Expedite replenishment orders when required to meet business needs.
  • Manage supply disruptions and communicate any impacts clearly to key stakeholders.

What you will bring:

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across supply chain and operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify shortages and inventory risks.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage supply issues and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Strong inventory planning and replenishment experience. (preferred)
  • Good understanding of demand planning, production planning, and stock management. (preferred)
