NSW Non-Ferrous Trading Manager

Reporting to the State Manager, the Non-Ferrous Trading Manager is responsible for guiding the trading team and Branch teams in cost-effective, timely and profitable purchase and delivery of non-ferrous recyclable metal.
What you will be doing:
- Deliver state intake targets by acting on agreed KPIs and implementing a clear, measurable strategy to achieve them
- Identify, prioritise and implement state wide improvement opportunities ensuring effective execution through robust systems and processes
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts while actively generating, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities to drive growth
- Balance and prioritise workload to achieve strong customer retention outcomes alongside new business development objectives
- Maintain a structured customer engagement program through regular face to face and/or call cycles with customers and prospects
- Lead commercial activity for assigned customers and opportunities, including negotiations, quoting, tendering and contract management within delegated authority
- Partner with the trading team to embed best practice across the state while demonstrating visible safety leadership in support of the Goal Zero strategy

What you will bring:
- Previous experience in commodity purchasing
- Tender preparation and contract negotiation
- Metal product knowledge and recycling experience, desirable
- Marketing qualifications advantageous
- Demonstrated time management and project planning ability
- Awareness of legislation – OHS, Quality, Environmental, ACCC, RTA and GST regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
