Export Coordinator

About the role

As the Export Coordinator, you will ensure the efficient and timely coordination of export sales and shipment processes. You will work closely with internal teams, external customers, and third-party service providers to ensure that all export activities run smoothly. Additionally, you will provide support for weighbridge operations and other site administrative tasks as required. This role operates from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday shift per month (when required).

 

Your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage all export arrangements across multiple sites and external customer locations.
  • Collaborate with Head Office and the NSW branch network to schedule shipments according to contract terms.
  • Coordinate the movement of empty and full containers with freight service providers.
  • Liaise with customs agencies and organize site inspections when necessary for international shipments.
  • Provide daily updates on contract status and ensure that shipment documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Monitor shipment lead times and vessel schedules to meet customer expectations.
  • Support site staff in understanding export shipment requirements and provide training where necessary (may involve occasional site visits).
  • Assist the weighbridge operations and cover tasks during staff leave or breaks.
  • Offer general administrative support for site operations as required.

 

We are seeking a team player with experience and knowledge in shipping and logistics.  You will have outstanding attention to detail and be confident in building and developing relationships to manage export requirements and influence key stakeholders.

 

Skills and experience:

 

  • Previous experience in export and logistics management.
  • Educational qualifications in supply chain operations are highly regarded.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing procedures and processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite. 
  • Shipping process management software such as BSM Global is desirable
