Branch Supervisor
About the role
The main role of the Branch Supervisor is to maintain the safe and reliable operations of the business daily. They are responsible for ensuring daily planned targets are met in line with forecast schedules and that any issues identified during the day have been addressed and corrective actions been put in place in relation to safety, quality, machinery and customer.
The Branch Supervisor will assist with the development of site scheduling and the clear communication / consultation of site expectation around customer service, production, quality, inventory management and plant upkeep.
The Branch Supervisor is tasked with the responsibility to instruct, coach and observe the work of Operators in respect of behaviours around efficient and safe work methods. They are also responsible for assisting with the ongoing scheduling, rostering and performance management of these Operators.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Carry out daily toolbox meetings and liaise with the Branch Manager to ensure clear and concise communication of WHSE related information flows between management and employees

Monitor and enforce conformance to safety standards and behaviours and assist in verifying hazards, injuries and incidents are reported, investigated and entered into Cority

Assist in the implementation of WHSE initiatives/improvements and corrective actions for work area

Monitor and ensure that contractors are working under contractor management processes (i.e. work safety permit/other permits valid, inductions complete, task supervisor and contractor controller allocated)

Ensure the quality of materials meet specifications through daily inspections and site walks

Ability to analyse trends in performance against market conditions, forecasted production and machinery utilisation
We are seeking a safety focused leader with strong influencing & communication skills and a passion for delivering on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role

Effective interpersonal and customer service skills

Computer literate – experience in MS Office, SAP desirable

Previous industry experience (scrap metal) preferred but not essential
