Planning Supervisor

About the role

Join our dynamic and supportive team at InfraBuild Reinforcing as a Planning Supervisor, based in Cavan! We're looking for an experienced and passionate leader to manage a high-performing, energetic team and continue driving success and output.
 

Our Planning Supervisor will be responsible and accountable for providing leadership on production planning, despatch, inventory and freight and logistics, including driving freight improvements and supervising the team, of 3 direct reports.
 

Your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Overseeing plan to production capacity
  • Load sequencing – plan to capacity (tonnes, hours, mix, freight, multi sites, additions and late requests)
  • Customer relationship management
  • Driving transport initiatives and ensuring transport is fit for purpose and that appropriate transport is available and assigned
  • Inventory procurement, management, planning and optimisation
  • Production of required paperwork to meet production needs, tracking and reporting
  • Monitor cost and safety variables
  • Accurate dispatch of right order to customer
  • Asset management
  • Internal safety assessments/compliance
     

You will be a highly organised and natural leader who is always one step ahead.  Your ability to motivate your team through expertise and action, passion for driving safety, customer service and continuous improvement will see you excel in this role.
 

To be successful in this role, you will have:
 

  • Experience supervising and leading a high achieving team
  • Planning and and/or inventory management experience
  • Be proficient in the use of computers and various software (MS Office or JD Edwards)
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing or supply chain is desirable
  • Ability to deal with conflicting priorities
