Despatch Coordinator

About the role

InfraBuild Reinforcing is looking for a Despatch Coordinator at the Cavan branch. In this role will demonstrate a high level of customer service and attention to detail with previous experience in despatch planning, scheduling and prioritisation. You will be responsible for planning despatch to optimise service levels and customer satisfaction, without compromising our well-established safety and quality standards.

Hours for this role will be 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
 

Your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Provide a high level of customer service

  • Ensure required fleet matches delivery plan

  • Accurate despatch of correct order to customer

  • Liaise with sales, warehouse and transport providers to resolve urgent and critical customer requirements

  • Managing driver and wait times with an expectation to reduce yard wait time

  • Performing load checks and auditing of loads and load restraint

  • Sign off safety checklists and adhere to all relevant health and safety policies, standards, procedures and legislative requirements

  • Ensure all required paperwork and administration duties are completed in a timely and accurate manner
     

We are seeking a proactive, customer focused individual, with outstanding problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of the transport/heavy vehicle industry and loads, and be a highly organised team player with exemplary attention to detail.
 

 To be successful in this role, you will:
 

  • Demonstrated customer service experience

  • Be reliable, punctual, committed and be able to work autonomously

  • Have exemplary time management and prioritisation skills

  • Have experience and or knowledge of the transport industry and understand load compliance

  • Have a customer service and relationship management mindset with a high level of negotiation skills

  • An agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives

  • Be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, JDE/SAP, Sparks, desirable
