Branch Manager

About the role

Reporting to the State Manager, the Branch Manager is an integral part of the branch and regions ongoing success. This is a varied and hands-on role, managing the team and overseeing the daily operations of the Caringbah branch.


Key responsibilities for this role include:

 

  • Managing and coordinating the logistics, administration and customer service of the branch
  • Managing daily operations including people leadership 
  • Contributing to ongoing process improvements
  • Communicating regularly with both ferrous and non-ferrous customers
  • Ensuring the operation of the yard is working in adherence with site safety policies and procedures
  • Coordinating and processing scrap


We are looking for a safety-oriented leader with a high level of energy, great problem-solving skills and conceptual thinking. The ideal candidate will be customer focused and passionate about building relationships and driving operational improvement.

 

  • Operations management experience ideally within recycling / mining / heavy industry preferable
  • Demonstrated ability leading & managing teams and handling people issues 
  • Comfortable working autonomously 
  • Trading or sales experience, desirable
  • Strong communication skills to interpret reports, identify trends and make recommendations

InfraBuild is Australia’s leading integrated steel manufacturing, distribution and recycling business, making steel using our electric arc furnaces.
