Branch Manager

About the role

Reporting to the NSW State Manager the Canberra Branch Manager will be an integral member of our New South Wales team.  Our ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership, operational and management skills and will be dedicated to continuous improvement, professional development of themselves and their team as well as meeting financial and operational safety targets.


The role is well rounded in scope, will full responsibility of P&L, customer experience, sales, safety and operations.  The Canberra branch forms part of the larger NSW network consisting of one major manufacturing site at St Marys.


Responsibilities will include;

  • Full P&L responsibility
  • Monitor and manage costs against targets/budgets
  • Oversee and deliver on daily distribution/production plans and targets
  • Supervise and develop a team (12-15 personnel) 
  • Lead operations in a fast paced, hands-on role with a focus on maximising performance whilst managing day to day requirements
  • Sales/Account Management/New business development and ensuring customer contractual obligations are met
  • Satisfy customer demands of quality and delivery 
  • Implement and facilitate training and work-force planning 
  • Lead and set the standard around safety, to ensure our employees, customers, suppliers and visitors are safe on our sites
  • Operational and safety administration 

 

About your experience
We are seeking a safety-oriented business leader with a high level of energy, great problem-solving skills and conceptual thinking. The ideal candidate will be customer focused and passionate about building relationships and driving operational improvement.


You will also have:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in branch management 
  • Profit and Loss accountability and commercial mindset
  • Experience working in a sales and operations environment within the construction industry
  • Ability to hold oneself and others accountable for how and what results are achieved 
  • Previous WH&S experience 
  • A high level of construction acumen
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use various systems – SAP, JDE, Arma and Microsoft.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
