Reporting to the Customer Service Manager and based at our Tonkin Steel centre in Cairns, you will join a successful and supportive team where you'll work closely with Account Managers, Operations, and site leadership to deliver outstanding service to our customers.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in estimating, with full training provided to help you learn how to interpret customer drawings, prepare quotations, process orders, and support production requirements.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email, responding to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare and process customer quotations accurately and efficiently.
  • Interpret customer drawings and specifications with support and training provided.
  • Maintain accurate customer and order information within internal systems.

 

Standard hours for this role are 7am – 3pm

What you will bring:

  • Previous experience in customer service, warehousing, manufacturing, trade or a similar operational environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Sound computer skills and confidence learning new systems and software.
  • Good mathematical skills and attention to detail when working with measurements, quantities, and pricing.
  • CAD experience or experience interpreting construction drawings is not essential, but will be highly regarded.
