Production Supervisor

Reporting to the Operations Manager and based at our Cairns facility, this leadership role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the production team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. You will play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture, and supporting the continued growth and success of the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor who enjoys being present on the factory floor, developing people, and driving operational performance.
What you will be doing:
- Lead, coach, and support a team of production operators to achieve safety, quality and productivity targets.
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet customer demand and DIFOT (Delivered In Full On Time) requirements.
- Monitor workflow and production performance to maximise operational efficiency.
- Drive a strong safety culture through training, compliance activities and incident investigations.
- Manage equipment breakdowns and coordinate external contractors to minimise downtime and maintain production continuity.
- Lead monthly stocktakes and maintain stock accuracy across the site.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and process optimisation activities.
This is a full-time permanent position with typical work hours being 7am – 3pm.

What you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading teams within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable for performance.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and a commitment to creating a safe work environment.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Pronto, or similar, along with solid computer skills.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, and delivering positive customer outcomes.
