Processing Operator
About the role
Join a large steel manufacturing and distribution site, and you will be part of a close-knit team of Operators on are afternoon shift. The team is highly safety focused, taking pride in delivering the highest quality product to customers.
Key duties:
- Use specialised CNC production machinery & cranes to process steel products into custom lengths ready for fabrication in major projects (full training provided)
- Utilise computer-based production tracking software to ensure production plan is followed & correct product is produced
- Assisting with general warehousing duties when machinery is not running to maximum efficiency within the workplace
- Take ownership of your machines performance including output, downtime, quality & housekeeping
- Training to master operating steel processing machinery
- Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
- Involvement in process improvement initiatives
Shift hours: 2.00PM- 10.00PM
Hourly wage - $28 per hour
You are someone who values teamwork, safety and continuous improvement and has a strong desire to succeed.
- Experienced Operator / Store person or someone willing to learn
- Manufacturing, logistics or construction industry experience ideal
- Forklift licence or crane experience highly regarded but not essential
- A continuous learning and can-do mindset
