Mechanical Fitter - Hemmant

About the role

Our Hemmant branch is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and autonomous Mechanical Fitter who is driven and able to perform breakdown and reactive maintenance effectively.

 

You will be a critical part of our operations as you will help in ensuring smooth delivery, reliability and daily processes on site. This role offers permanent and stable employment on a day shift roster working on a wide variety of tasks. You will be working Mondays to Fridays from 6 am to 2:30 pm with overtime opportunities. 

 

Duties include;

  • Execution of reactive and regulatory maintenance as well as attending to breakdowns if the need arises 

  • Identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding tasks

  • Read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical drawings

  • Participation in regular shutdown tasks as an individual or working with other members of the team

About your experience

You will be a Maintenance Fitter who values safety, efficiency, and teamwork. You are driven, a good communicator, and have the initiative to be effective in this role.  

 

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification

  • Ideally, a previous experience in the Industrial Manufacturing industry

  • Knowledge in Hyrdaulics, Pneumatics, and Electrics will be highly regarded

  • Exceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

  • Have a proactive approach whilst holding safety and customer as core values

  • A confident communicator who can work autonomously and collaboratively

  • Self-starter who is focused on outcomes and keen to contribute to the business as a whole
