Financial Accountant
About the role
The Financial Accountant role is responsible for achieving the Steel & Tube objectives and strategies by supporting the Finance and Commercial Team, by ensuring financial performance and operational standards are maintained.
Responsible for monthly accounting of up to 20 branches across two states. The outlook of the role is primarily internal. The role must work collaboratively with the Finance Team and Commercial functional resources to undertake all monthly accounting requirements. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the two regions and liaise directly with branch and operational managers within these two states.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Production and delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.

Full responsibility for month end journals and reconciliations for the assigned Region.

Providing assistance to branches and business in financial matters such as reviewing expenditure, appropriate internal controls and dealing with Accounts Payable to ensure invoices are processed.

Assist with reporting submissions for Group Finance, Bond Reporting, External Auditors and key internal customers.

Communication of results to key internal customers

Support preparation of rolling forecasts and budgets based on key business drivers. This involves working with the Finance team and Commercial Analysts

2+ years’ experience in a financial/management accounting role
