Shift Supervisor - Night Shift

About the role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager and based at our Bibra Lake Steel Centre, you will take ownership of our night shift operations, leading a team of warehouse operators to deliver safe, efficient and reliable customer outcomes. You'll be a visible leader on the warehouse floor, driving performance, building team capability and ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse operators to deliver safe, productive and efficient shift outcomes.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, toolbox talks, audits and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse operations, ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately and dispatched on time.
  • Monitor shift performance, allocate resources and manage KPIs to achieve operational targets.
  • Train and mentor employees, building capability across warehouse processes, equipment and safe work practices.
  • Support warehouse operations when required, leading by example alongside your team.

This is a permanent night shift position (10:00pm-6:00am), with an initial training period on day and/or afternoon shift before transitioning to nights.

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or steel distribution.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and driving a positive safety culture.
  • Experience coordinating warehouse operations and achieving operational performance targets.
  • Overhead crane experience is highly desirable.
  • Forklift licence will be highly regarded.
  • Experience using SAP or similar warehouse management systems will be advantageous.
