Technical Advisor
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Technical Advisor to join our team and support the Recovery & Stabilisation project. As a Technical Advisor, you will provide leadership, operational support, and strategic direction in line with our objectives to optimise plant performance, implement capital projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid the Executive General Manager leading the Recovery & Stabilisation project with overall leadership support by ensuring the team is aligned, motivated, and focused on delivering outcomes.
- Ensure the effective execution of the project’s goals.
- Align technical activities with key project milestones and sustainability goals, ensuring a seamless flow of operations, driving an increase in capacity and efficiency
- Propel strategic projects in the expansion of production capability, market offering and enhance competitiveness
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of capital projects across the plant, ensuring alignment with company goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Monitor project performance to ensure cost-efficiency, safety, and timely delivery.
To be successful, you will demonstrate
- Proven experience in a technical leadership or advisory role, preferably within manufacturing, steel, or heavy industry sectors.
- Strong background in operational optimization, capital project management, and continuous improvement programs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams to identify and solve complex technical problems.
- Demonstrated experience in driving operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and enhancing plant reliability.
- A forward-thinking individual with the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with business goals.
