About the role

Reporting to the Branch Manager and based at our Bathurst site, you will play a key role in supporting both our yard operations and customer service function, ensuring customers receive outstanding service while contributing to the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the branch.
What you will be doing:
- Safely operate plant and equipment to support the processing and handling of reinforcing steel.
- Pick, pack, load and unload customer orders using forklifts, overhead cranes and other equipment (training provided where required).
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to customers both over the counter and over the phone.
- Process customer orders, enquiries and bookings accurately using internal systems.
- Coordinate with the sales, operations and logistics teams to ensure orders are prepared and delivered on time.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safety-focused work environment while following all site procedures.
- Contribute as a collaborative team member, supporting daily branch operations and delivering an excellent customer experience.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

What you will bring:
- A strong commitment to safety and a proactive, safety-first mindset.
- Previous experience in an operational, manufacturing, warehousing, construction or customer-facing environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- A reliable, team-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your work.
- A willingness to learn, strong attention to detail and confidence using computers and internal systems
