Waratah Regional Sales Manager - SA

Reporting into the National Sales Manager, this role is responsible for maximising the profit and volume of Waratah’s rural products covering South Australia with preferably a base in Adelaide. In this region, the key focus will be on horticulture and farming in more concentrated volumes. You will also;

  • Lead and develop a team and building strong relationships across all key industry stakeholders within the South Australia region 
  • Identify trends and develop appropriate sales strategies and business plans 
  • Lead a strong sales team and assisting with training and development of the Territory Sales Managers and mentoring 
  • Establish targets and manage budgets for your team
  • Maintain and consistently improve key customer relationships, regularly visiting customers with your Territory Managers
  • Develop continuous improvement processes
  • Maintain ongoing awareness of the industry trends and competitor activity
  • Analyse sales performance and provide monthly reports 
  • Promote advantages of the Waratah range, provide training and guidance around fencing options 
  • Ensure development of regional safety plans and roll out of any safety initiatives.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian agricultural, horticultural and viticultural industries alongside a strong sales and leadership ability.

  • An agricultural related qualification is desirable but not essential 
  • A passion for developing and leading people. We will be looking for a drive to succeed as this will ensure your success in the role
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills are necessary, as is the ability to deliver effective presentations to individuals and groups 
  • You’ll be able to operate separate from the rest of the sales force and operate mostly in regional areas
  • You’ll be a self-starter and demonstrate a willingness to travel and be away from home regularly. You will hold a current and valid driver’s licence.
