Senior Corporate Analyst FPA
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, we are currently looking to appoint a Senior Corporate Analyst whose primary responsibilities will center around financial modelling, management reporting, consolidated budgets and forecasting as well as reporting and analysis of capital expenditures, inventory, and corporate expenses. This is a 12 month fixed term contract based in our Adelaide CBD offices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Consolidation of the Group annual budget and business plan, periodic forecasts, short term cash forecasts. This includes overlaying consolidation entries and preparation and presentation of financial reporting output (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) and business information
- Engage with the business units, Tax, Treasury and Financial Accounting, to build corporate knowledge and understanding of risks & opportunities
- Prepare month end and management reports. Measuring, monitoring and distilling insights from the Company's business and financial performance as well as provide insights and commentary on the Company's monthly performance against key metrics
- Develop financial models to account for trends in the business/macro environment and carry out scenario planning
- Implement systems and processes to ensure that internal analyses, reporting, and decision making are relevant, timely, and accurate
- Partner with IT and the broader organisation to improve forecasting through automation and system optimisation. Facilitate data loads, resolve system issues and enhance forecasting and reporting capabilities
- Provide QA testing and development support for major system implementations and changes.
- Support Ad-hoc projects and analyses as necessary.
About your experience
You will be someone who has strong financial planning, budgeting and forecasting skills who enjoys working in a fast paced, flexible environment. You are also resourceful and have strong communications skills to be able to work effectively in a cross functional team at all levels of the organisation.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting
- Accounting profession accreditation is an advantage but not essential
- Post qualification experience within a large corporate, heavy industry, mining or professional accounting services firm preferred.
- Advanced Excel and best practice modelling skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven skills with information systems, dashboards, reporting and monitoring performance
- Strong financial and business acumen and critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Experience using SAP/BPC/TM1 or similar and Power BI would be highly regarded.
