IT Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Server Engineer with strong cloud computing skills to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in server administration and cloud technologies, ensuring the smooth operation, security, and scalability of our infrastructure.


Key responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions using platforms such Azure
  • Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline deployment and integration processes
  • Ensure security best practices are followed to protect data and infrastructure
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
     

Skills and Qualifications required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related certifications
  • 3+ years of experience in server administration and cloud computing
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware)
  • Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
