Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
About The Role:
The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will lead financial planning and analysis for Whyalla Operations, acting as a leadership business partner to support sustainable commercial outcomes.
This role operates within a capital-intensive, commodity-driven environment, requiring strong financial insight to support decision-making across mining, steel manufacturing and ports operations

Key Responsibilities:
- Insightful and timely analysis and reporting of monthly and forecast financial results.
- Provide senior business leaders with decision making support.
- Manage the preparation of financial forecasts, consolidated budgets, and the 5-year business plan, ensuring timely input and explanations from both accounting and operational teams.
- Work with the business to ensure continual improvement to budgeting models and process.
- Establish and oversee commercial opportunities and risks reporting process as part of annual budgeting process.
- Mentor and develop FP&A analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making support
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualification – commercial, finance, business management, etc.
- Proven experience in a similar role
- CPA/CIMA/CA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with leading and driving multi discipline integrated planning processes
- Good understanding of key performance drivers in mining and steel production.
- Financial modelling and Business Case preparation.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
