Transport Coordinator
About the role
As the Transport Coordinator at our Dandenong branch, you will work closely with drivers, customers, operations & trading teams. Your main focus will be on maintaining smooth logistics operations, managing vehicle coordination and job prioritisation. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising day-to-day logistics and transport activities for collections & deliveries.
- Managing the collection and dispatch of goods to customers, optimising efficiency, and cost control.
- Organising load execution based on delivery and collection schedules & vehicle capacities.
- Ensuring compliance with vehicle load regulations and standards & Chain of Responsibility.
- Assisting with customers' queries, trading staff, operations, and truck drivers.
About your experience
We're looking for someone who's great with people, pays close attention to detail, and takes initiative. The perfect fit would have experience in customer service, administration, or coordination, and be eager to develop in a collaborative setting. While experience in logistics is beneficial, it's not mandatory.
- General geographical knowledge and customer service experience is essential..
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office is important.
- Can-do attitude and quick thinking, along with strong problem-solving skills, enables effective decision-making
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
