Scheduler

About the role

Reporting to the Scheduling Manager, this role is responsible for the design and documentation of reinforcing steel to Australia’s major construction projects. You will interact directly with Tier 1 customers and internal stakeholders to determine customer needs and ensure the accurate supply of reinforcing steel to each major project. This position will be based out of St Marys.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Create and deliver accurate BIM models
  • Implement design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Streamline workflows using BIM technology to improve project efficiency
  • Understand project objectives and advise on engineering solutions
  • Engage with clients and design engineers to achieve optimal outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders

About your experience

This role would suit an experienced Modeller or a graduate looking to start their career in the construction and engineering industry.  Our ideal candidate is a goal-oriented team player who is enthusiastic, tenacious and prides themselves on their attention to detail.

  •  Previous experience as a scheduler
  • Experience in steel reinforcement detailing
  • Technical mindset with an ability to read and understand technical drawings to create models 
  • A diploma, certificate or degree in civil/structural engineering, drafting or architecture
  • Experience in modelling software such as Revit, TEKLA, Autocad or similar
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
