Senior Project Coordinator Estimator
About the role
Reporting to the Branch Manager in Darwin, you will be responsible for interacting directly with customers and internal stakeholders, to determine customer needs and ensure the accurate supply of reinforcing steel to each major project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reading, reviewing and interpreting engineering plans and drawings
- Working out what needs to be estimated within those plans
- Estimating to scheduling to delivery to customer
- Project Coordination
- Ensuring that the daily plan is adhered to and delivered on time and in full first time, every time
- Understanding customer needs, and solving customer’s challenges and issues onsite
- Working with customers, Project Managers, clients and builders
- Understanding of manufacturing systems and processes
- Identifying areas of development and improvement to processes
About your experience
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience working in an administration support role within the building/construction industry, along with a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in a Scheduling role would be considered favourably
- Project coordination experience
- Mathematically minded and possess a technical mindset with an ability to read plans and interpret drawings
- Advanced computer skills using MS Excel and previous experience in reporting and analysis
- Ability to cope with pressure in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Maintain and build relationships with internal stakeholders
- Knowledge or hands-on experience in AutoCAD or Armour system is advantageous
