About the role

Join a successful and busy branch in Ballina which is a short drive to Byron Bay, with stunning beaches and the hinterlands.  It’s a rapidly growing area, with diverse residential projects from family homes to luxury accommodation for the rich and famous. You will also gain exposure to other regional infrastructure and commercial projects, and support other branches in the network.


You will be working closely with customers, Operations and the Leadership team, to ensure delivery of quotes and ongoing customer support across multiple projects. 


We will provide thorough training and support to master your key duties;

  • Accurately interpret Engineering and Architectural drawings for the purpose of providing reinforcing quantities
  • Estimate accurate quantities of reinforcement from Plans or Bills of Quantities for all size projects
  • Capable of using initiative when required to interpret ambiguities that may arise on drawings and Tender Documents
  • Ensure that the estimate is completed by the required timeframes (including tender closing dates)
  • Price Estimates within the issued Matrix Guidelines
  • Enter estimate details into CES and ensure they are properly documented for presentation to customers and file when completed
  • Record details of Tonnages estimated on a monthly basis
  • Keep documentation in accordance with the Quality Control Procedures.

About your experience

It’s important that you are keen to learn, is customer focused and thrive in a busy environment. You will be an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who has a can-do attitude.


  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the Building Industry
  • A relevant and recognised tertiary qualification preferred but not essential
  • Contractual/Commercial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Building Industry conditions of sale
  • Microsoft Office & CRM system experience ideal
